The end is one of my favorite parts and I think one of the most poetic of the entire movie. To me the last scenes represent Sofia and Yves souls’ final meeting. The images are no more in black and white because what happens is no more on earth, but on a trascendent level. Finally their souls are free to be, constrain-less; leaving aside the past and all that was with it, they can look forward to the future.

But this doesn’t mean forgetting. They won’t forget. Their souls and their hearts won’t delete what’s happened and everything that has been felt. In fact, being free from the past allows Sofia and Yves to be finally together without reservation or fear. Acknowledging what reality is and having made counts with it frees them and their hearts and souls can be together, in that dimension between dream and reality, forever.

The end of @for_lovers_only has always a slightly different effect on me.. sometimes I see it as a happy memory of their love and it makes me smile. And sometimes I cry.. when I realize they are not together now. But in my head, Sofia and Yves always find a way to each other again. Sometime, in the future. Cause in time, every sad ending will become happy. The sad ending is only because the author stops telling the story. But it still goes on. It’s just untold. (for now!) #FLO II
